Because they know its true. Lets face it the military has strict recruitment policies against inducting bed wetters, mommas boys and nose pickers and frankly this leaves the vast majority of liberal unqualified to serve. Occasionaly a few slip by the "dont ask dont tell policy" but eventually they get ferreted out.

a. Liberals do not get mad at this.
b. You lied; even your own link says 9%
c. Conservatives get 45% , which is not a huge margin considering that Republicans get around 35% in general.
d. Military is only small percentage of US population
e. Many consider themselves Conservatives due to Religious believes, but Republicans do not represent true Christian believes. (to name help the poor is the least)

I was more impressed with the fact that more than half of the military has a bachelors degree or higher. Take that John Kerry.

Because of people like you on yahoo, generally refer to anyone who is not a Conservative/Republican as a Liberal. And that being the case, the number would substantially be greater than 7%.
I'm sure you notice there were moderates and liberals than there were conservatives.

Hmmm, less than half are conservative, (yawn). In a time in American politics where "liberal" is considered a smear word, especially in the military. (nice try...)
