My family is planning to go on Saturday and we're wondering what times between 1 pm to 4 pm are the least people there.

Between 2-4 p.m. But honestly I wouldn't eat at a buffet during that time frame because, #1. the food won't be as fresh, less people means the food won't turn over as fast as if crowded. #2. the food tends to sit there longer and more chances of bacteria ending up on it. Basically, eating at a buffet is unhealthy....you never know, maybe somebody sneezed into the food, or just used the bathroom and got some feces on their hand and transferred it to the serving spoon at the buffet.
