Earthworms are a great to live in your garden! They aerate the soil and provide nutrients. Just make sure that they are earthworms and not any other worm that will eat your plants.

I have always been told that earthworms help to keep the soil loose and they will not harm plants or bulbs.

on dirty jobs on the discovery channel mike rowe went to an earthworm farm.. the earthworms eat things out of the soil and leave behind their poo which is very rich in nutrients. most people pay top dollar for mass quatities of it.. so these worms are very good for your plants....and they love bread!

They are very very good. Try not to harm them when you're working with your plants. You must have very fertile soil.
