Interesting what mindless vitriol the libtards are spewing here. The data you cite has more credibility than most of those we-all-hate-bush polls taken of a cross section of the drunks in the DNC building lobby.
The reason there is only 7% of the military in the liberal camp is for two reasons. The first is that when you are in the military you get a really healthy dose of reality because you are out there in the world defending your country. The second reason for such a low percentage of liberals in the military, is that the liberals would prefer to be cowering behind the military, rather than actually be in it.

I was imbued with a sense that not all liberals are hebetudious by nature it is rather nurture that has slowed the mental acuity of some individuals that I often associate with the conservative bred mind .
Please disregard any use of ambiguous terminology located above and disregard if you are an educated open minded conservative which I rarely encounter .
The conservative man /woman / child most often seems mired in religious dogma and superstition passed down from one generation to the next making his ability to think clearly almost impossible .
This might well be the reason that many liberals avoid war while conservatives become involved in losing battles and continue to blame liberals for not doing more to aide in victory .
I tried to warn you people that this was not a good idea in the first place and so did my new favorite country singers the Dixie Chicks (until then I thought all country music was for inbred hillbillies till I listened to their music)and Bush had to attack them along with all the other inbred stupid conservative idiots in this nation .

obviously both sides didnt read these polls to good.
but i will just go with the enlisted portion we all no most officers are conservative.
the poll says that out of the enlisted a total of 7% see themselves as liberal or very liberal.
39% moderate
53% conservative or very conservative.
16% state they are democrates
45% republican
15% independent
15% decline to answer.
to behonest what it shows me is that the liberals like to spit out complaints about this country and how bad they hate it. When the conservative and moderates believe in this country and will fight to protect it. and I am not a republican but all I hear from liberals is how evil country is. well then leave go to canada or something.

Having been in the protection rigidity, I doubt your numbers. notwithstanding, even if or not they're thoroughly authentic, all the protection rigidity is depending on the risk-free practices of the structure and risk-free practices of usa, from all enemies, overseas and kin. Are you easily offering to censor certain human beings because of ways they imagine? Is that what usa is for you? merely human beings of the overall public must have a say in the course of the authorities and u . s .? it is not any longer the USA I served to guard.

Assuming that is correct, it does not surprise me. Republicans are more likely to be interested in fighting, killing and invading other nations, so are naturally drawn to the Armed Forces where they can get paid to poke their noses into other people's business. Republicans are more likely to own guns and be members of the NRA.
But also, since many people join the military fairly young, many right out of high school, before they have formed their own political views, they tend to develop Republican leaning opinions through military indoctrination.

I would like the exact definition of the term "liberal" used to compile the stat.
Does it mean anyone who did not vote for GW for instance, or anyone who is not a registered member of the GOP?
Also why does the total only add up to 99%?
Also what is the sample size, and standard deviation?
Are these numbers only from MT subscribers who may or may not be service members?
