As Kerry said " How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?"
This war has been a mistake since day one. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. We are getting the same results. It's time to stop the insanity.

I'm not an military genius or anything but it is too soon to judge the so called "surge". I don't think that the majority of troops involved in that are even in place yet. I will say that I thought that the number of troops involved in the "surge" is too low and we should have tripled that number if we really wanted to get serious. I'm afraid that we're gonna chase the insurgents from one area to another never really securing any one spot. But as McCain said, as he was surrounded by hundreds of soldiers and helicopters, "the surge is working".

maybe i've missed the news....have we been attacked on American soil again??!!?
NO>>> we haven't because our leader, President Bush has lead our country through some of the worst times, gone to war to protect our freedom and done so with great strength and determination!
Lives have been lost, yes, so that you and I could retain our freedom and not be worried about car bombers on our soil.
Why don't you try being grateful and thankful instead of being part of the problem in this country.
If you have better ideas of how to run this country how about you run for office and get the job done.
As far as loss of life....do you know how many babies have been killed by abortion in this country since Roe vs. Wade??
Millions!!!!! You want a cause to support and worry about....there you go! You can go out and support life of newborn babies.
My son's life has been on the line many times in Iraq and I still support our President and our country!

Leave Iraq, bring 80 % of the troops home, solidify afghanistan with the 20%
Start the offensive against the taliban living in the pakistan borders, finish them once and for all kill bin laden.
Yes im 'cut and running', I say cut our losses and move on.
AND NO... leaving Iraq does not change the fact that we are the no. 1 country targeted by terrorists.
