Congress has recently said they are toying with the idea of cutting off funding for the troops. FUNDING FOR TROOPS. I have to hear why you still support them because right now i think all democrats should be summarily executed for treason agianst our nation and our troops for even electing these idiots into office so please tell me why they are making good use of the oxygen they are wasting?

Most people don't support this kind of thing. Politicians only care about doing what the public likes during the few months leading up to an election. They just recently got past their elections, so there's no reason to worry about doing good... many people will forget what they did today by the next time elections happen.

Obviously it's silly to think that all Democrats should be executed for voting politicians in, when politicians are the only guys interested in being politicians. People who care about improving the world the most generally do not go into politics. Someone like Bill Gates (who probably doesn't want any political office) can do more the help the world with his charities on his own without doing it through the government.

I might support executions and stuff if someone really good would be running for all the offices, and people voted against them in favor of normal politicians, but that's not the case.

The Democrats have-and continue--to make every effort to find a bi-partisan solution. In this case the funding bill is just that--they are giving Bush funding to continue the war--IF he is willing to accept a timeline--not even necessarilly a binding one.

Bushdoesn't want that, he wan'ts to be a dictator. Let him take the consequences. The Democrats will make sure the troops aren't harmed by Bush's unAmerican attitude.

And we certainly can't trust Bush to take care of the troops. What we've seen at Walter Reed shows how much he can be trusted with their welfare--the only reason these brave veterans aren't stilll sleeping with the rats is that the Democrats and the liberal press found out and stepped in.

the troops in the field already. We have abandoned them to lies about why the war was being fought. We have abandoned them to getting shot from all sides. We have left them in a type of hell while we profess a strange love for them by keeping them there.

The money is thereto bring the troops home and that money is continued in the so-called bridge fund that was passed September 30th, 2006. We have the money to bring the troops home. The idea that the troops will be stranded is false and is being spread by people who want to keep the war and the war spending going.

Iraq is a failure. Invading a nation to steal their resources meanwhile killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people is a failure of humanity. Bush being in office, and Democrats continuing his ‘policies’ is a failure of our own Democracy.

It is time for the American people to wake Congress up. Never before has it been so evident that they live in a bubble. They think they can do whatever they want with our once great nation and no one can stop them. It is time to get in Congress’ face.

Find out what your Congressperson is doing for their Christmas break, and make sure they don’t have a Merry Christmas this year. They do not deserve one. Why should they enjoy an extended vacation in their plush homes while Iraqi women and children continue to be murdered?

Take a trip to your local Congressperson’s office and let them know how you feel about allowing this massacre to continue simply so Cheney can have a happy Christmas. Tell them how you feel about allowing war criminals to continue their policies in office when they should have been impeached already and sent to the Hague.

Demand they Impeach Bush and Cheney as soon as they return to DC. Stand outside their office and scream, whatever you can do to let them know that We the People will not be silenced!

I am a liberal and I disagree with them cutting funding. I can see why they think that doing it will be good, but the truth of the matter is they are doing it to spite Bush. Cut funding will not help the military personel sent to the region; but neither is the administration helping much either.

The invasion of Iraq was a good thing done for the wrong reasons. Now we have to either go in with enough troops to pacify the entire population or watch the number of soldiers KIA rise higher. We are paying for our own folly of years of military cutbacks. We do not need to be the biggest and baddest country in the world; but we need to be big enough and strong enough to be taken seriously.

Man you need to look at the bigger picture here. No #1 this "war" was never authorized in congress to begin with. #2 don't you think that our whole government is running rampid with corruption?? I don't think that cutting money to y'all is the answer but it might be a good start for the country as a whole to get our miltary out of Iraq and come home. People are afraid of how things will end up over here if we do that, but i think that we have enough technology and weaponry to crush anyone that comes on our land. We've pretty much proven that already.
