yes, all you have to do is download psp video 9, and that will convert any video files you want. Any video film saved on your computer can potentially be played on your psp.
When you have the program downloaded, in the middle of the page there will be two buttons, one will say somthing like "One Click Transfer". click on that then select your file you want converted. once it is converted go to the bottom of the window and click on the button that says send to psp.

NO, unless you convert the files to the appropriate format which is mp4. or, if you have hacked your PSP, then you can also play pmp files which have a way better quality.

i have a psp, and it only plays mp4 format. but dont worry!! you can convert it with a free psp converter ( search it on google), and bryan( answer below me) NO U CANT PLAY AVI CD AND STUFF... AFTER U CONVERT IT ITS NOT AVI AND CD FORMAT ANYMORE,, SO CONVERT IT
