My baby is breastfed and seems to be less and less interested in nursing. She does eat solids but I have to mash them up really good or else she gags and vomits it all out. She is pretty petite only 19 lbs.

I give my 14 month old daughter three 10 oz sippy cups a day. Sometimes she'll drink a little less, but if she wants more to drink i usually offer water. Good Luck

At 12 mos. she should be drinking about 24 oz. of whole milk a day. Does she prefer baby food? She is petite, but so is my son. As long as the doctor says she's fine, she is. The whole milk might help put a little meat on her bones, but she should be getting most of her nutrition from baby food or mashed table food.

Whole milk is a good option for toddlers over age 12 months who aren't breast feeding and who aren't drinking a toddler formula. Why dont you give the child maybs say a pint a day. Young children need calories from fat for growth and brain development,' and this is especially important in the first 2 years of life. But reall I would ask my health nurse.

NONE!! Until she is like 2 1/2 to 3 years old.. This comes from a natrual foods perspective and new information just emerging... give her soy milk or rice milk is even better... New research is suggesting giving it to babies that are younger than 3 is what is causing all the milk allergies that kids have developed.. I would suggest none! Good luck

First I wouldn't be feeding her to much "adult" food even if it is mashed up. She cannot break down the food like adults can. I would give her only limited amounts for now. Stick to baby food and just the occasional adult food. For instance, mashed potatoes, pudding, etc. I don't think whole milk is something any child needs. 2% milk has the same vitamins in it without all the fat content. The best thing I can say though is to always ask her pediatrician.

my 6 month old is 19 lbs!! ahhhh. drink about 2 or 3 cups a day since she needs the lactose for energy. also the vitamins are great for her. try orange juice for extra vitamins since it does have twice the amount of vitamin d and twice the calcium but it dosent have lactose.

I agree with Melissa, my ped also said 16oz to 24 oz of milk a day, but that inlcudes your breastmilk.

If you can go to the doctor and see what he/she prefers for her to drink try not over stuff her wwith milk because it will make her not like it.

As much as she wants. When she hits two, go down to low-fat milk.
