Like the guy above me Craigslist is an excellent resource but for me to do it from California is a waste of both of our time.

Log on.. narrow down the list to your area and then search the cars using your $1500 max. (don't forget to factor in taxes, tranfer, insurance, etc.. if you haven't already).

If there is a car for sale in that are it will show up. You can also filter out other items (make, model, etc..)
