I used to be a Pokemon fan. I once owned all the first generation games (Red, Blue, Yellow) & Silver version. But, when Iooked at the previews of the next generation, third, I was disappointed. I thought the franchise would grow up a little bit & would be hardcore. Not only that, but most everybody I knew back then became resentful to Pokemon, & moved on to more hardcore console games on PS2 or XBOX (at the time).

Because, as people move out of the Pokemon games, new people move in. Kids too young to play the older games are now old enough to the newer ones. You do see that they are advertising to 10~13 range? Well, just because you are 10~13 anyome doesn't mean someone else isn't.

Pokemon is still a really well put together RPG that contains all the features that actract most people to RPGs. With the probable addition of Wirelaess mulitplayer battles, this next Pokemon will be just as popular as the last.

It is VERY rare when a series actually moves across an age bracket. It may move right up to the boundary, but it will never cross it.
