The problem with Humans discussing whether a planet can sustain life is that Humans look at it form a standpoint of "Could it sustain OUR lifeforms." We do not fully understand our own world, oceans, and lifeforms completely yet, so how can we hope to understand what life could survive in. There are places a warm blooded animal can survive that a cold blooded one could not because a warm blooded animal has the ability to raise its temp so that its core temp stays in a safe range.
In theory there could be life that is silica (Silicon) based and we would have little no idea at all what conditions it would need to survive. We think that only oxygen environments support life but even to us oxygen in ozone form (O3) can be toxic to us, and under the right amounts of pressure the amount of oxygen in the air your breath and cause lung corrosion.
Just an opinion on a subject that is theory itself and open to debate not meant to informative on any scientific basis.

Not necessarily...Just because some of those planets can sustain life, doesn't mean that life would evolve the same way as it did here. Conditions would have to have been EXACTLY the same, which is virtually impossible...Most other planets aren't exactly the same distance from their sun that we are from ours...Most other planets don't have suns with the same strength as ours...You get the picture.
Do you suppose there is a planet out there where dinosaur-like creatures rule their world?

I would agree with parts of your statement.
The Universe is massive.
There are billions and billions of STARS out there just like our Sun. Each one of those STARS could have from 0 to 10 (or more) planets (with their associated moons) circling around them. Note the change in the words "planets" to STARS.
Now, just like in our Solar System, not all of the planets out there are equivalent to Earth in temperature and composition of the surface and atmosphere, with water present. So, at this time we don't know how many can be called equivalent to Earth. There have been more than 200 planets cataloged circling distant stars. Unfortunately for those involved in the search for an equivalent Earth, the only planets which we have been able to observe around distant stars have been the "biggest" ones and those are not necessarily Earth equivalents. Also, due to the brilliance of the STAR that they are circling, we cannot tell much about those distant planets. It is sort of like looking into a spotlight at night. The spotlight blinds you, and prevents your observation of nearby things.
Now, if you agree that there are only "some" possible planets equivalent to Earth out there, I will agree that the chance that they might have dinosaur life on them is a real possibility. How we might ascertain that fact is a mystery to me because those equivalent planets might be 10 to 100 Light Years (or more) distant from us. With that in mind, can you follow that any space probe aimed in that direction would take thousands and thousands of years to get there and perform any viable research. Worse for those of us hungry for information, a message broadcast from a probe way out there would take about 100 years to get back to us. So, discoveries like this seem to be theoretical at this time.

Zah

yes there are about 200 million stars in our galaxy there are billions of Galaxy's. somewhere out there there is a sun simerler to ours with planets the right distance and chemical make up.they might not be identical to our dinosaures but close

I wouldn't go so far to say MUST, but I would say LIKELY. Assuming you mean dinosaur like creatures and not exact copies of Earth dinosaurs.

Not millions of planets but billions. No life form can be ruled out.
