Most large drug stores sell it in the same section as condoms, water based lubricating solution and gels. The name "Delay" sticks in my mind. Some condoms contain the desensitizing product inside the condom.

Remember this: Your penis won't know where it's going or feel much either.

Well, it's quite funny actually... yes, it is a desensitizer (a topical anesteticum (that's misspelled, no?)) and numbs your skin for a little bit.
Now, I'd say you should try it out. It's sold in sex stores or online.

Don't know about any sprays, but you can buy a desensitizing cream at any drug store or walmart/target, next to the condoms and lubes.
