The worst smell I've ever smelled was when someone in my family had some chili for dinner, and, well, you know. I'd rate it an 8.

It's a tie between CS gas and dead egrets. In the army I was gassed on occassions too numerous to count. CS is terrible stuff - burns the eyes and sinus and throat. It really neutralizes your ability to function on any meaningful level. Dead egrets, on the other hand, stink worse than any other dead animal I've encountered, including skunks and fish. I don't know why. I had to clear dozens of carcasses of electrocuted egrets out of a power substation and my gag reflexes were on overdrive. I think my previous exposure to the CS gas rendered me at least partially immune to the effects of the nauseating aroma, or I would have vomitted gallons.

The dead dog my cousins buried in the backyard behind their home. One summer, my younger brother and I went down South for the summer, to stay with them. They were [suspiciously] eager to show us the corpse, which was in a 4' hole, under a big rock. They lifted the rock and showed us what was left ... the smell can only BEGIN to be described using the word, STENCH.

It was probably the experement the idiots in my class made during break. They mixed cheese and kool-aid and tried to give it to me. Me and courtney smelle it and almost gagged.

rotten Easter eggs that my little girl hid in her closet at Easter and they were found in June. I had called an exterminator to find the dead animal when he made the discovery.
