To share from the overflow of life. It's not something you do because you should, but something that you do because it also serves you in beautiful and profound ways.
I am of service to my spiritual community because that is where I am spiritually fed (especially when I'm cleaning the kitchen). I walk the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk because I know how important the fundraising is for radification of breast cancer. I help friends and family because I love them and I want to see them thrive. I donate items to those in need because at one time in my life I was that person in need and I was so grateful for the help.
Service can take many forms and as long as it is done with absolutely no expectation of receiving anything other than personal satisfaction for a job well done it is true service.

In economics and marketing, a service is the non-material equivalent of a good. Service provision has been defined as an economic activity that does not result in ownership, and this is what differentiates it from providing physical goods. It is claimed to be a process that creates benefits by facilitating either a change in customers, a change in their physical possessions, or a change in their intangible assets.
