Can't help without knowing what kind of infection it is. If it's viral then antibiotics won't help because they only work on bacteria, but there are other drugs the doctor can give you in that case.
If it's a bacterial infection then you should be on antibiotics, if it's a urinary tract infection then your doctor will probably prescribe some type of sulfa antibiotics.
If it's a vaginal infection, there are several types, which your doctor can prescribe for.
Yes, drinking water is always a good thing to do because it helps your lymph system filter out infections and dead cells out of your body.
But you'd need to know the name of the infection you have, what type it is, and then your doctor can treat it with a prescription.
So go back to your doctor as soon as you can, and tell him your infection isn't getting better, and you want treated for it.

you should just not have sex just yet, and see if you need antibiotics for a few days..also, make sure your husband gets a checkup, and make sure he isn't infected also,..if it is a yeast infection, you can get over the counter meds for that, and guess what, a tablespoon of yougurt put right up there,...will help if it is a yeast infection...but don't have sex till you feel better hunny,...it just isn't worth it..and a couple of days you will feel better,....always drink a eight glasses of water, to run the infection through and God Bless

Is it a yeast infection? If so eat plenty of yogurts and that should help clear it up. Not sure what else to tell you because you weren't clear on the infection. But hopefully you get better soon!

If you have a planned parenthood center near you, they will test you and prescribe medication for a nominal fee. Go there immediately because if you are a host of some type of infection it can be damaging to your body or your health.

Is it a yeast infection? (Off white, cottage cheese-looking, itchy and or smelly?) You need medication, you can get it over the counter. DON'T get an off-brand! I had one b4, very common, by-the-way...and it made me itch like crazy! There's a pill, I can't think of the name, but I took one and it went away. Good luck!
