Kant answer that.
Tsk tsk. A plagiarism on both their houses.

Well, I know that Kant thinks so. But then he and I don't always see eye-to-eye, if you know what I mean. If you ask me, he spent too much time at the university and not enough time outside in the fresh air.
Personally, I disagree with the very premise that a question is a burden. Instead, I find IGNORANCE to be the burden. As such, a question is a pleasure - at least I know where I am going, if not exactly how to get there (You see? A travel metaphor for knowledge! Kant DID need to get out more!)
Should I actually know the answer... THAT is Heaven.

The History of Philosophy is the recorded history of asking better and better questions, and through reason, eventually establishing the bounds of reason.
In the end it comes back to Epistemology - what is knowable?
So yes, there may not be definitive answers to all life's questions, but there may be better and better questions developed through the discourse that is "philosophy".

Of course! Philosophy is by its very nature LINGUISTIC and since language consists of imperfect symbols normal philosophical dialectic is not capable of handling them...Its like trying to do division without decimals or fractions. Good question though.

Why does a wise man try to answer the unanswerable question, is it because he thinks he must give an answer or look foolish, Or he just can't say I don't know.???

well, sometimes, of course. but the fact that worries me is why do we even have a need to try and answer them? i mean, some of them really are just jokes, others are probably there because the person didn't know what else to ask....

I agree completely. I mean...if I asked you over to my place and after I had wined, dined and wooed you, would you stay the night with me? Or...maybe this IS a question that you can answer?

In short "a fool can ask a question a wise man cannot answer", true story.

Perhaps not burdened... but overwhelmed by them.
Most folks only ask rhetorical questions, because they are looking for vindication of their own beliefs.

why that's exactly why i pose the questions that way so you will think and realize that answers cant always be given .then you realize that life is not so simple after all.that perhaps the answers will be found within us not out side us.
