Ok well, im 16 and with a guy way older than you. While sometimes it is a little uncomfortable and many people will consider it "sick" or "wrong", i dont think it matters at all as long as u like each other.
She's 16 and (if your in the UK?) then theres nothing illegal about it. The legal age for sex is 16 for a reason, meaning that whoever the girl decides to sleep with is her choice now.
Like people here have been saying, yes the girl may be young and have little life experience, but that doesnt mean you cant be together and are not allowed to enjoy each other's company. You just may need to be more understanding in some situations that she is unfamiliar with.
It's absolutely fine. Good luck! x

In the UK this is legal, though this doesn't mean that it is fully healthy etc. Other countries have lower ages of consent - not that you mention sexual acitivity between you both, and this may not be on your agenda. Think about it, you're not just mates, otherwise she would be a guy to buddy up with, so there is something sexual there.

Generally, it is wiser to choose partners who share much in common with ourselves. This girl has no adult life experience yet and I'd suggest you stop and compare yourself at 16 with a typical 26 year old man. Would you be comparable for maturity? In a way, it would be fair to allow her to grow and mature somewhat, so that she becomes an adult too. At the moment, she can't legally vote etc. for a reason - nor can she see adult films. You're not equal. People growing up also tend to transfer parent roles onto others - this is an easy trap to fall into. Don't be a fill-in parent for her.

She is merely a child emerging from her innocence, however grown-up she may appear. I guess that this isn't what you want to hear, and you're not doing anything disgusting - I assume - but give each other a better chance of balanced matches. My gut instinct, take a break from each other and see if your paths cross by chance, not by arrangement in the future.

You have many more choices available to you for meeting new people. Go out and explore and find people of adult ages. Allow her to discover what life is all about, not via having an older teacher.

Good luck! Rob

Yes,a 16 year old female is too young. If she were 18 then it wouldn't be so bad. Being with a 16 year old female is against the law. I have two sons and when they were 18 any girl that they were seeing had to be 18 or even older. That was the rules in my home. A girl at that age can get you in trouble.

Yes, IT IS WRONG, she is just a kid. Let her grow up.
If you are grown up and she is grown up wait till you are 36 and she is 26 then get together. Or at least give her till she is 21 and let her see what else is out in the world.
Ten years is a lot of difference. When you are 65 and slowing down she is only going to be 55 and still want to get out and go. So you better think about the age spread

It all depends on maturity levels and your understanding that she is only 16. I don't think it's wrong, if you were 36 and she was 26 people wouldn't say anything about it. You just need to remember that she still has a lot of growing up to do, no matter how old she seems, and you have to make sure she's able to do that.

If you were 36 and she was 26 it wouldn't make a difference but a 26 year old man with a 16 year old girl ( a child ) is sick.

A bit immature, wouldn't you say? You may not see that, but I'm sure your friends would. She'll still be giggling in clubs, drinking far too much and getting legless, and that will be embarrassing and unacceptable to you. At 26 you'll be looking for different things in your life than she is at 16.

No, ...love do not choose age,
but she is too young yet, let her grow 2/4 years more and if you still liking each other..., good luck. Now she is just living her age if you know what I mean, she feels attracted for older men, maybe she do not have conscious of that but is the true. Her subconscious feels older and protected having you for a partner.

There is 10 years difference between me and my hubby and i think thats ok but i met him when i was 22 he was 32.
However if i introduced him 2 my dad when i was 16 he would be 26, he would have hit the roof......big time.
I know its not fair but its not good. Sorry.

Best way to look at it as if it was your daughter in this situation when she is 16,How would u feel?????
