Gap for me, has always been located in city centres. I was pleased to hear it was to open a store nearby where i live. When the doors opened, i was very disappointed in the clothing ranges they had. If your after plain clothes then this is the place to go. However for the price they charge for nothing really unique - i would rather go new look/dp or burtons and spend it there and get more out of my money.

*yawn*. I am sorry but they are one of the most boring stores. They sell basic colored shirts for as much as other stores, except they don't have a logo or any interesting qualities to them. They are definetley not stylish. They are a very old brand that apparently can't keep up with styles becasue last time I checked solid colored t shirts aren't exactly high fashion or great style. As for mens clothing, it is better than the women's department but unless your a dad that wears a polo everyday in a different color, I don't think Gap is really your store. In all honesty Gap clothes look like you could have bought them from Wal Mart or Old Navy because they are so basic and plain, except you are paying equal pricing to higher end stores like abercrombie and hollister.

the gap is a great store for school age. Personally I don't like looking or dressing like every body else., therefore I try to shop where clothes are sold to a few never mass production clothing for me.

GAP brand clothing is fairly generic as far as style goes and is mid-grade as far as name brand quality. Most people look at those two things as huge pluses, as they can mix and match the clothes with different styles and not have to pay a fortune.

Classic and generally timeless.I like that their logo feces isn't all over the clothes. The prices are average.
Some people think the clothes are boring, especially teenagers.I think if you wear them the right way and mix and match with other stores you can make your outfits interesting.

i USED to be a huge gap fan...but now the styles are so boring...they used to have cute clothes, not any more.
i go there for the cotton camisoles and basic cotton tees (like white, black and gray ones )

Totally unoriginal. Yes, they're well made, reasonably priced, nice appearing clothes, but that's like saying you can eat well at McDonald's...way too bland for my taste.

i get the feeling that in america, people tend to hate gap as they think its boring (and preppy/geeky?), but in the uk at least i think they do do some nice clothes, rather 'studenty', im not sure if that is thought of as being a good thing, but i think is alright.
