I have been reading a lot of "answers" to the Armenian Genocide posts, and it seems to me that the people who deny the Genocide, merely justify it by stating the historical situation of the Armenians in Turkey and tensions with Russia and the war.... Someone give me a reason why they think, what the Ottoman government did did not meet the definition of Genocide... Thank you.

A couple issues they bring up:
1 - They deny that 6 million is a reasonable figure. In the old days (thirty years ago) the number was 2-6 million and the upper limit was chosen as the standard. One can argue if it was 5 or 6 million, but does it really make a difference? It was way too many!
2 - Deniers also want to see that the Jewish Holocaust is not singled out as the ONLY Holocaust. In terms of percentage, the Armenian was a lot greater. In terms of number, Stalin killed over three or four times as many Russians as Hitler killed Jews (but he killed his own people, so no one cares); and then there is Pol Pot in Cambodia, what about his massacre of millions? Westerners tend to forget what happened in the Far East/Asia.

As a matter of fact, I think the Ottomans exactly meet the definition of a Genocide. It was an attempt by them, to kill all of a different religion and culture. Isn't that a genocide? In definitely think so.

Hi,

So-called Armenian Genocide is an absolutely lie.
And Please ask your friends, what happened on 24 April 1915 ?

No one can be answer to you clearly .
I will explain to you. Decision depend on you .
The Ottoman government, against numerous rebellions that began after 1890 and promptly following Armenian massacres which resulted in the murder of tens of thousands of Turks, contented with informing most important persons of Armenian congregation and Armenian deputies that "Government will take the necessary precautions if Armenians continue to stab in the back and assassinate the Turks". However, it became a necessity to secure behind the borders because the army was in war at various fronts, the events did not stop but increased and assaults towards defenseless Turkish women and children increased.

I am also giving that adress for you . Please read and after if you want another question ask me. I am here.

Of course, lots of Armenian and Turkish People died at this war.
But this is not Genocide. Armenian Government want to divide Turkiye Republic. But they will never succesfull.

And Would you please ask again your friends what are they thinking about Turkish Diplomats killed by the Armenian Terrorist ?
Are they approve it ?
I will give some information about that.
The main targets of Armenian terror organizations, ASALA in particular, were now being chosen from among Turkish diplomats abroad. The first of the series of terrorist attacks was carried out against Mehmet Baydar, the Turkish Consul General in Los Angeles and his Deputy, Bahadir Demir. The assassinations were perpetrated by an Armenian by the name of Gurgen Yanikan in 1973. This individual action turned into organized Armenian terror as of 1975 and further escalated as of 1979. 110 acts of terror were carried out by Armenian terrorists in 38 cities of 21 countries. 39 of these were armed attacks, 70 of them bomb attacks and one was an occupation. 42 Turkish diplomats and 4 foreign nationals were assassinated in these attacks, while 15 Turks and 66 foreign nationals were wounded.

And then I will say something.
We came from Greece- Thessaloniki. In 1920, My Big GrandFather and his wife and their relatives killed by the Greek Bandit. Do you guess, how ?
Closed in the mosque, no food and no water. Starvation!
Did you understand it ? And, now, am I accuse all of Greek People who did Balkanian Turkish Genocide ?
Which one ?

( Eras, If you are reading, I copied from you, Thank you.)
And Please also asked this question ? If you take any answer would you please write it.
Even Turkish archieves are open (Armenians dont open their archieves!), many people believe in the genocide so that in their country, Armenians talk about a so-called genocide so much and for all over the years, Turks have not taken these claims seriously.

Why those countries accept this nonsense thing by their courts or laws and dont let historians talk about it?

And saying again, if you receive any answer or question, please asked this section or please welcome to Travel - Turkiye Section. You can ask any question.

Because everyone says something, and when we asked replay question, unfortunately there is no answer.
I do not know why ?

Kind Regards,

To John; Dear John,
Would you please write it, what do you think about it ?
Are you approve it this killing ?
