We would either freeze or fry, depending on which direction we got knocked.

The lack of any thing to breathe would kill all life since such a catastrophe would first rip the atmosphere off the earth, then all those human bodies would freeze and fly off into space since gravity would stop if the Earth ceased to rotate.

Either we would be hit by meteors or comets or we would die because the sun is too far away. We need the sun for light, for energy, to grow plants we eat for food, to grow even trees we need for air. If we move'd too far away, the planet would die. We need the sun to live, plain and simple.
