Can you help me with this question? Because Heath Ledger is going to be the new Joker in the next Batman sequel which starts after Batman Begins, how is this going to happen because in the 1989 Batman movie the Joker dies at the end after falling of the church tower so how can he be alive in the new sequel?

Answer: they don’t feel that they have to keep continuity. Or the Joker may have been only paralyzed, not dead, after the first movie, and medical technology has improved to the point where they were able to repair his spine. Or, the Joker actually pulled a pair of Joker-Glider Wings out of his Practical Joke Belt, and glided to safety, and the dead guy was just some sucker that he killed with his Joker-venom, to take the rap! There are possibilities.

They restarted the Batman saga! Batman Begins was the first Batman movie in this saga. The next one will introduce Joker to Batman. The 1989 was a old version of Batman. It goes for pretty much every movie. They will always make remakes of them.

They are starting over. The 1989 was a different Batman series.
