What happened between the years 1552-1650?

I'm doing a research paper and I can't find any info on what happened during those years.

I figured you guys could help me, maybe give me some websites you found or something.

I guess the most important events were the voyages of discovery by European mariners, the exploration and colonization of North & South America by the European powers, the founding of the American colonies, the beginning of the modern slave trade, the exploitation of the Indians, the wars of religion in Europe, esp. between Protestants and Catholics, the wealth of the New World in gold pouring into Europe, the introduction of new food to the Old World, etc,
As far as music is concerned I would guess the evolution of musical instruments. the development of the modern orchestra, the development of opera and ballet. I hope this is a help to you.

Try, Queen Elizabeth, the Spanish Armada, the English Civil War, The Thirty Years War, the French wars of religion, the colonization of the Americas, and that's just what I can think of off the top of my head.
