does UC Santa Barbara have a pre pharmacy program?

No, they don't offer pre-pharm as a major, but they do offer all the courses you will need to qualify for PharmD programs. UCSB also has excellent courses and programs in biochem and pharmacology. UCSB is also fairly close to Thousand Oaks, where there are a lot of pharm companies, which means lots of internship opportunities.

If you can avoid the temptations and distractions of beach living, UCSB also has a lot of research labs on campus. They do hire students to help in the labs.

No they don't. I'm not aware of any UCs having one. I can see San Diego starting one as they've just opened a Pharmacy school.

Doesn't matter though. California schools traditionally have not had formal pre-pharmacy programs. Hasn't stopped tons of kids from going on to pharm school. There aren't many pharm schools period. Just go to the websites, see what classes they require, and just take them. You don't need a pre-pharmacy program to do that.

every college has a pre-pharmacy program because there really is no such thing. Some schools may call it that, but all you need to do is take the required courses to get into pharm school and you can actually major in whatever you want

This page: http://www.ucsb.edu/units/index.shtml
says it only has a Pharmacology program,

but this page: http://orgs.sa.ucsb.edu/ppsa/

looks like they actually do have one.
