I currently think we should not have started a war with Iraq, but I am open minded to facts and logical arguments. Can you change my mind?
My main reason for opposing the war is that I think war must be only a last resort when there are absolutely no other options. Was that the case here?

First of all I am no supporter to the war. But let me explain you something. You say you "Currently Think" that makes me feel that you thought once it was the right thing. but whatever on that. They went in for all the wrong reasons in the world but you cannot just pull out like that. Billions of dollars and millions of lives are at stake.

To be really honest with you... If you are driving one of the those gas guzlling SUVs and think public transportation are for poor people or its not good then they went to war for you my friend.

Then again it does not justify the reason but again if Americans stop depending on oil and go for innovative, cheaper and envoirmentally friendly solutions this trend is going to follow.

I am sorry if I said something wrong...

Consider this for a moment. When the Saddam Hussein statue was brought down, either CNN or Fox interviewed a man on the street. He said, quote "I am 25-years old and this is the first time I walked down this street as a free man." Unquote.
Sometimes I'd like to take about 50,000 Americans to some of these places and have them live for 30-days without all the good things they enjoy each day. Might wake up a few people. If spite of what some people think about the USA, why do more people on this planet still want to migrate here over every other country?
This is not an endorsement for war, but sometimes there is little choice.

Iraqis won one battle, thanks to our troops, gaining freedom from Saddam. But Saddam, before fleeing in defeat, freed THOUSANDS of jailed murderers, rapists and serial killers--all with an itch to scratch....and their favorite targets are US troops (perhaps out of a twisted loyality to Saddam for freeing them).

Albeit true as well Bush's posed "justifications" are BS--and have well been since proven so--there still was a need for us to drive forcibly in Iraq....and that was to control the OPEC run oil flow. See: we're never given REAL reasons for engaging in war--it's always been that way since first recorded history everywhere.

Had we not gone into Iraq, Saddam would've convinced already Al-Quaeda sympatheic OPEC boardmembers to spike up per barrel oil prices--sending uncontrolably gas prices here at home.....which looks like it's happening anyway. Why???

Angry Republicans (quietly making $$$$$ by the BILLIONS in the oil game) now knowing their cash-maker is eventually going to be shut down cold by Democrats--are taking out their frustrations on every one of us. There really is a frightening Alpha minded banal side to these powerful people.

Bottom line: the Iraq war was needed to prevent the mid-east baddies from hurting us via oil prices---but how sad it is that politically powerful AMERICANS here on our soil---are doing the very same thing to us. Talk about US troops dying for nothing..........

Dude, all you're going to get is a bunch of dumb answers from republican conservatives. You'll hear things like "we are defending freedom" or "we have to fight terrorism in their land so we don't fight here." Like all of the things that come out of a republican's mouth, these answers don't make any sense. We went in there because Bush wanted to make his little republican friends richer than they already are. He also wanted to be a war president. In the end, all this administration has done is created a civil war in Iraq. At least Saddam had control of that country. His means weren't conventional but how can you have conventional means with people who are willing to kill kids with a suicide bomb?.........

No whatever America is doing in this case is WRONG. We shouldn't do anything with Iraq because obviously: they didn't do anything to us. I think it's all Bush's fault... he just wants money for himself. He already killed 3000 American troops and he is killing people who have families in Iraq

he's such a freak.
