Ok no putn down on what they buy their dog ok. If you have lil money you buy what you can, and i dont want to here crap from anyone's mouth on what is bought for the dog. If you lived in this town you would understand

My brothers dogs have died, but the vet saved the 6 unborn pups and they are so far doing good. I know it has to be something wrong with the food cause 7 more have died from the food as well. I found that also anouther owner who feeds their dogs the same brand one died and others are acting sick so something is up

Ol Roy dog food is very good dog food! My two will not eat anything else! They started on Kibbles N Bits but now prefers the Ol Roy type over the brand name!
I am so glad that you posted about the Ol Roy brand! It is scary to even think of what we can & cannot feed our pets right now!
(To all of you that has put down the "Ol Roy" brand every read the nutrition labels and compare? They are very competitive in their nutrition! Just because they are a Wal-Mart brand does not mean that someone is neglecting their animals!)
Good luck with your dogs...don't worry about what others say about what you feed your animals..it is really none of their business!
People who tell you what you have to do with your pets is just like the nosy old ladies at the store who tell you how to raise your children! They should not judge until they know the whole story! As long as your pets are happy and healthy..that is the only thing that matters!
There is so much judgement in the world!

When you factor in the fact that the crappy quality of Ol' Roy can lead to expensive health problems down the line, I think it does matter what you feed the dog. You don't have to buy the best, best food, but just do some research in doggy nutrition and buy something that's better quality. Generally stuff that's better quality don't have as much "fillers," which means the dogs are eating more actual food. The result? You actually feed less each, which basically balances it out w/ the price of the lesser-quality food Think about it, please, for the sake of your dogs. But seriously, if you can't afford to give a dog the best care possible, you shouldn't have one.
And the female should have been spayed anyway, unless it was show quality and health/genetic checked. There are already too many pit bull puppies in the world.
However, I am sorry for the pain your brother must be feeling. Hope they pull through.

Last I heard, it was only wet food and some treats that are recalled. But I wouldn't trust the dry stuff either.
Never the less...Old Roy is not a very good food to be feeding anyhow.
My sister had a cat die a few months ago. She was feeding it that Walmart brand cat food...Special Kitty. Cat was 2 yrs old and came down with kidney failure. I am convinced it was the food.
I was feeding my dogs Nutro Natural Choice, and even though it is just their canned foods that are on recall, I don't trust the dry stuff....I switched to Natural Balance.
Hope your brothers dogs pull through.

ole roy dog food is crap food anyways. I already think that it has been on the recall list. but I'm not sure.
sorry about the dog but if you had fed the dog a more quality food then that might not have happened. the best food that I have found to feed my pets, it's called RAW and I think that it's the safest dog food. because you know what's going into the food.

Nothing on Google, the FDA site, etc. about this- although SOME dry foods are under the recall now, no one has mentioned Ol' Roy dry.

Competitive in their nutrition? With who?
I read the ingredients...the main ingredient is ground yellow corn. Then they list wheat middlings, meat and bone meal, corn glutein, soybean meal, animal fat, chicken by-products.
Really nothing but fillers and junk.
But..to each his own .
