My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 7 months now. We have been doing everything by the book. BBT, Ovulation Test, we even do the feet up for 30 mins. I was just wondering if there is anything else we can do. Does anyone have advice? We have 5 months before we see a specialist so we are pretty much trying everything!! Help!

Honestly, the thing that helped me was to forget about it for awhile. As soon as I did that, I got pregnant. I know it is totally easier said that done. Good luck!

You're going to see a specialist after only trying to concieve 7 eggs? You only release one egg a month (on average anyway-some people release more if twins run in the family) but that's really soon. Even after only trying for a year, that's really soon. That's only 12 eggs. Your uterus only opens up one day a month to allow sperm in, sperm can live for up to 5 days inside you.... you probably already know all this stuff.... so here's some of my experience, strength, and hope. I was told by 2 doctors that it was a miracle that I ever had one child. (I have polycystic ovaries which means I create cysts instead of eggs, I don't bleed on a regular basis and my periods are always old blood from cysts that have popped). I am pregnant with child #3. My first born is 6, my second will be 2 this month, and I'm due in about 2 months. With all of my children I concieved in a backwards position. I have an introverted uterus which means it tilts back alot farther than most peoples... therefore, 'Doggie Style" and "Spooning" are favored for getting pregnant. If you don't know what those positions are, go to a local condom shop and look in a Kama Sutra book. Possibly even a book store, though I've never looked for one there.... Another thing you could try-pray before you do it. Let it be God's Will. Not your own.

I know how you feel, my husband and I were trying for 5 months. We gave up. And sure enough I found out I was pregnant a month later. I think the main thing is for you to stay calm. (I know..its not possible, lol..)

And most of all dont make "sex" all work, and no play ;)

Good Luck!

i would say don't try so hard. it might be that because your trying so hard to get pregnant that your body has decided to fight you on it. so relax let nature take place and if in 5 months time your still not pregnany then go see the specialist.
Best of Luck.

I assume you're taking a multi-vitamin? Try relaxation exercises, and you can try accupuncture as well - a lot of women have good results with that. If you're older than 35, you don't have to wait a year.

How often are you having sex?

Have sex every day or every other day around the time you think you are ovulating - even a little before and after.

Can you try to just relax and stop trying so hard. Maybe it will happen when it's supposed to happen. Good luck and god bless you.
