It's really great! :)

It was the first WDW "Moderate" level resort, but it has undergone several renovations in the last few years, and looks better than ever.

Although there are some unfavorable reviews floating about, check out http://www.tripadvisor.com/ and read up on more recent reviews.

It's very spread out, so you might have a walk from your room to the food court (which can be difficult with tired kids in tow). But, each section has its own bus stop, and they run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long for a bus if you're using Disney transportation.

Do you already have reservations? Be sure to check http://www.disneyworld.com/affordable/ for packages, etc. Or, check out http://www.hotels.com/ or even http://www.resideo.com/us/florida/lakebuenavista/26165071.hotel for rates.

Have fun!

Caribbean Beach is the oldest moderate resort, so it is not in as good of shape as the others, but it still tends to be pretty popular. There was a time not too long ago when the resort was really struggling and there was question of whether or not they could keep it open. Disney is in the process now of coming up with ways to improve the resort and make it more appealing, as well as working on plans for rennovations.

Also, Caribbean is huge, so you definitely want to book the preferred room if you will be staying there. When you are ready to go and excited to get to the parks in the morning, the walk is fine. But after you walk the parks all day, are tired and want to get back to your room, it isn't quite as fun.

Caribbean is still a great resort, but it is getting a little older. Disney is pretty good at keeping their resorts up and the reviews on the resort are still pretty good. There is also going to be the chance that a problem occurs, but that can happen at any resort. There is quite a bit to do on property and you can definitely find something to do. The moderates are definitely worth the extra money over a value. The resort is a little more quite, more room, etc. So it is definitely worth the upgrade.

If it were me, I don't know if I would choose Caribbean as my first choice, but I think it is still a great resort and definitely better than staying offsite. However, I would also look into some of the other resorts as well and see which is best for you.

Hope this helps!

Personally, I have always liked this moderate resort. There is so much to do there. Aside from the pool, there is also a place to feed the turtles, a running area, a restaurant and food court and having recently seen some of the renovations am very overall impressed with it. You'll be happy you chose it!

Personally I didn't think it was that great. I like the Polynesian one better.
