I prefer petless men. Men with dogs are tied down to their dogs (and they always somehow smell like dog). Having a dog (or dogs) is like having a child. Too much responsibility. On the other hand, straight men with cats is just a little bit weird. Women and gay men are supposed to have cats.

Cats. If he has a large dog and she is female, he could be doing it with her. I don't know if that would be cheating on me, but I wouldn't want to be a dog lovers girlfriend.
