I would choose drowning because i would think you would just pass out after a few seconds and not wake up.

I think burning would be very painful and you'd be concious the whole time and feel everything. If you get knocked out by the heat before the pain sets in, good for you! Personally, I'd pick drowning. I've had a lot of near-death experiences based on drowning. Maybe it's because I don't know how to swim but I just insist on the deep end of the pool and going too far in the ocean :D

Probably drowning but I've heard that dying in a fire isn't actually that bad sometimes. Supposedly, you pass out from the carbon monoxide before the flames can burn you to death. Even if you are tied to a stake with a fire set at your feet, the smoke rises and you pass out pretty fast. It's still got to hurt though...

I had my closest call with death by almost drowning and it was horrible. The water burns when it's in your lungs. I was choking to death which was not a calming experience.

i have almost drowned to death before, and it was a horrible feeling! but also have got a really bad burn.
burning would feel awful and excrutiating!!
so maybe i would chose drowning....even though thats prolly just as bad!

I would say drowning it's supposed to be quite peaceful once you've stopped struggling. I can't imagine being in a fire to be quite so peaceful.

Drowning, fire is my biggest fear. Scares the bejeebies out of me.
