I live here and I love the Cardinals but, with that said I do not see them winning again. We are missing too many key players and our pitching needs help. The owners tell us that they are "saving" their money to get us some pitching later in the year. We will see they like to say things and then not deliver. Either way the fans here are very excited to have the boys home and wow what an opening day! It is about time that we had one on a weekend so the whole town could celebrate. I see them making the playoffs and getting knocked out there.

No. I think if you really look at the teams in the NL Central, the best of the bunch -- and most likely division champion -- is actually the Pirates. Having said that, the team that wins the Central will have just as much chance of winning the World Series as any other team. Baseball is like that -- the better team just doesn't win that often, especially in the postseason. Once you get to the playoffs, it's anyone's game.

Highly unlikely. They'll be the team to beat in the NL Central, where it may not take more than 85 wins to take the division. Overall in the NL, however, there are probably four or five teams better than the Cards.

Maybe not the world series (although i hope they do), but they will probably win the NLCS like they do almost EVERY year. GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
