You're thinking is a little flawed.
One the skips are usually felonies that he apprehends - and since his time at Free as a Bird he has handled his own jumps, as well as those of fellow bondsman.
You're right - he shouldn't have left Mexico the first time, but it was based on flawed legal advice from some one in that country. This whole thing with trying extradite the Chapman's has nothing to do with a piss ant little law broke in Mexico. It has everything to do with Mexico being shown as the corrupt pathetic government that it is that was harboring a serial rapist - and I would bet my soul that they knew damn well who he was and where he was - and they didn't care. They didn't even extradite him back to the US - they do not recognize trial in absentia. They deported him because he entered the country under a false name.
I seriously do not think Duane Chapman is a "god" - the man has more flaws than a factory second, but I do believe that he, Tim, and Leland did nothing that warrants extradition to Mexico. Luster was not a human being - he was a pathetic derranged animal who would have continued raping women until he was caught - and the Chapman's did that.
Read the facts of the damn case before you yap off - this is not about publicity or celebrity - it's about what is right, and it actually goes to the legal root of the US extradition treaty with Mexico. We extradite to them and they habor murderers--- see something wrong with that system?

I don't thing Dog is a God, but I do like the way he treats those that he brings in. The people respect him, even though they don't like what he is doing. As far as what he did, sure, it probably wasn't the best thing, but Mexico also shouldn't harbor rich criminals, just because they can. Besides, Mexico's policies towards breaking our laws via immigration are so lax, I could care less. The gov't hands out maps to sneak in. So, call me a hypocrite if you will, but I have my reasons. My question is why are you defending a rapist so fervently?
"Andrew Luster, the notorious heir to the Max Factor cosmetics fortune, was convicted of drugging and raping three women over a four year span. During his trial in 2003, Luster fled the country, leading to an international manhunt. In June 2003, Dog and his team tracked the fugitive Luster in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he was living under an alias, and seized him. Luster was subsequently found guilty in the US and is currently serving a 124 year prison sentence."

I met Dog when I was living in Hawaii...he is a nice guy and he does some good for Hawaii, which has a awful ICE problem...He did a good thing going down there and getting the rich rapist...my main argument on this is that Mexico repeatedly does not extradite their citizens and other people accused of murder back to the US id the state has the death penalty...when some illegals living here commit murder they go back to Mexico, because Mexico won't give them up...my thing is, if they want Dog they need to give us all the murderers hiding in Mexico so they can stand trial here...case in point...a teenager in Elajay, GA was hit and killed by an illegal alien drunk driver...he fled to Mexico and Mexico will not look for him or make him come back to stand trail...fair is fair...give us the Mexican criminals, and you get Dog...but Mexico probably just want money from him...

I've said from the beginning of this that if Mexico wants a rapist back, let 'em have him.
I personally don't see a problem with the way that perverted freak was arrested, but then, I think rapists are just about the lowest form of life on the planet.
Wow - Austingirl and I agree on something!!

he stopped a serial rapist who flaunted the laws of this country. which would you rather have around. he did skirt the law but i think he should not go to jail. political correctness has over stepped its boundries. i say, good job yo dawg.and as far as hypocrite, i think you need to look it up. it does not apply here.

I agree. If he goes to another country and breaks its laws, he should be held accountable for that. I kind of wonder if he went to Mexico just so that he would be arrested, get extra publicity, and be touted as a sort of martyr by his fans.
