Can anyone tell me which is the best EARLY home pg test? I'm about 5 days late and want to get a test today to do in the morning. I've also had symptoms of starting my period for the last week but nothing. The weird thing is I can feel my cervix...it feels hard and closed. I'm just confused all the way around.....I know the test will tell me everything but can anyone give me some insite? If pregnant I may be 3-4 weeks according to the calculators....

First Response worked for me. Get a box with 2 just to be on the safe side.

I used First response.. I got it because First Response is capable of detecting hCG at levels that are really low, meaning you can use First Response like 6 - 8 days after you concieved which is well before your missed period!! I tried the EPT digital, and nothing ever showed up in the area.. so that was a waste of 20 bucks...

I tried the first response test, but the line was so faint, even though my period was late, that I was just confused. I don't recommend it. The next test I took was the ClearBlue Digital test. It can also give results 5 days before your missed period (though I think you're saying you're 5 days after). I love the digital test and recommend it to everyone. It was accurate for me, and I didn't have to guess and squint and read the directions 500 times. It just said "Pregnant." It was that simple!

If you are pregnant, you SHOULD test positive right now. I would just go and get one. You can always go to your nearest drug-store and get one that has two tests in it. I would test as soon as you wake up because the horomones with be more prominent. If it comes up negative, wait a few days-1week, and take it again. If still neg. and no period, I would go have the doctor check you out. Good Luck!

First Response. It's the most senestive test on the market last time I checked. It gave me a positive 5 days before my period was due without even using my first morning urine.

Most work well, go with a name brand if your nervous. First Response or Clear Blue, etc. Just probably better idea to get a two pack. Trust me you'll want it later regardless of the answer. lol! Good luck!

Hi!

I would try a "EPT", I used a "Dollar General" brand and I got a negitive, only to find out 2 days later via a "EPT" that I was pregnant.

Good Luck!

all the tests work the same way as far as i know - dont let the pirce tag fool you - they all work the same way....get the cheapest one - they usually come with 2. ive found that the walgreens brand works the best for me.

Dont worry - its okay to freak out....maybe let some more time go by before you waste your money.

Good luck!
