No, it's the consumers who shop at WalMart, which would be....... almost all of us.
Free trade has created more jobs than it has lost, and the jobs created have been higher paying and higher-skill jobs, while the jobs lost have been lower-skill jobs. The problem is that the folks who used to work third shift on the assembly line aren't qualified to get the white collar jobs that represent most of the jobs created.
But seriously, two thoughts:
1) Do you have any idea what things would cost if the products that are made in China that used to be made in the US were still made here?
2) In a country that gives you free education through 12th grade - physics, calculus, etc.... - are you entitled to make a big enough salary to support a family of 4 doing something that a barefoot peasant living in a thatch roof hut can do as well as you can?

They are a big part of the problem, some other parts are Target, K-Mart and Wal-Mart and the poor downtrodden CEOs running the show.
As a CEO if you have to pay $100 ea. more for a thousand US built TVs for your chain store that is $100,000 less that goes into your bonus at the end of the year.
These poor Shlubs just cant get by on the $10 million a year salary they draw they need the $5 million bonus just to eek out an existence.
I'm sure you understand

The reason everything is made in China is because Americans buy all the goods made in China.
It would be better if we all paid a little more and bought items that are made in America, or at the least by a country that supports America.

well its not exactly Walmart, its all of manufacturing. its not right or fair but life isn't fair and free market capitalism isn't fair. there are terrible consequences from shutting down manufacturing in the U.S. but on the positive side, lots of consumer goods are affordable and the work we lost is being replaced with more technological driven jobs that may be more rewarding. i'm playing devils advocate, i don't think it's right to lay off hard working Americans and send their jobs to China but it's too late, it's all been done we have to move forward.

I think Americans had better regain an understanding of what being an American means. America is more than a stock market that rewards the dismantling of this countries industry.
It's more than borders where only legal citizens need a passport to cross. This country is being sold out lock, stock and barrel.

no, not directly, the reason is that it is much cheaper, no matter what the store is to buy from overseas. Look at how many businesses have factories just on the inside of Mexico. These people are willing to work for much less, so profit is up.
Global marketing sucks

No, the minimum salary is. They pay their workers next to no longer some thing, so it really is more cost-effective for companies to import products made in china extremely than pay the intense difficult artwork expenditures in the U. S.. it really is not any longer proper, yet company is company.

No, it's called free trade. And here is where I divert from some of my conservative views because I favor restrictions on free trade to help save American jobs.

Why the Walmart bashing? I just bought two picture frames that have "Made in USA" on the label. Libs are just anti-Walmart because it makes money. Even when Walmart announced that they would offer prescription meds at $4, Libs found some reason to complain. Try going there and looking around and you will find plenty of things made right here in the US.
