i got married 6 months ago, small wedding on the beach, and i think it would be a waste of $$. It is for show more than anything. What is the point of a BIG wedding...more gifts??

It is only a waste if you don't want it. Obviously, if you are thinking about this, deep down you feel that your courthouse wedding does not meet some need you have to celebrate your marriage. By all means, if you can afford it, have a big blowout and be happy that you have a marriage worth celebrating! Congratulations.

my personal choice is to take the money and go to the bahamas for a week or two. My wife and I are doing that for our 20th. The kid is kiving away in a college dorm and this helps with the empty nest thing and gives us a well-deserved rest and reward.

Yes I would, but that is my opinion. . . .I would rather spend the money on a really cool trip but if a big wedding is what you really want and have always wanted then I would say that you deserve to treat yourself to it.

No, on the contrary, if you have financial possibilities it would definetly be very significant and beautiful to emphasize your love in your 10th anniversary.
