Is there any way I can stop junk mail from a certain company, such as a written request that is required by law to work?

Any lawyers out there?

If it has a prepaid mailer, fill a cardboard box with scrap metal to the max weight allowed by the post office, attach the envelope to the top of the box and mail it to them. Repeat as needed til they stop, only took 2 boxes for me.

Not a lawyer and this will sound weird but it does work.

There is a form that you can get from the Post Office to stop pornographic materials from coming to your house. It's Form 1500, Application for Listing and/or Prohibitory Order.

You define what you feel is pornographic which means you can block junk mail from any company you want for up to 5 years.

I no longer get student loan consolidation letters, American Express offers and Discover Card letters because of this.

It's called their right to free speech, regardless of scams involved. Believe it or not, people seem to have the right to scam...hence telemarketers. That is also legal, but infringes on your right to privacy. Mail does not infringe, it just annoys.

Much like telemarketers, I believe that junkmailers are required to remove you from their list if you tell them to.
