8800gtx vs 7950GT?

Question

ok im building a pc and i wanna kno which one would be better
either i can do sli with 2 7950gt (512mb x 2 ) superclocked or do 1 8800gtx (768mb )
both would be around the same price but around with only around 250mb of difference

another thing from what i seen and heard vista sucks and does not support all the games >.<

I would suggest the 8800GTX. Since you're building a new PC, I'm assuming you're going to be using Windows Vista. Because of this, the GeForce 8 series has full hardware support for DirectX10 (unlike the 7 series) and it actually allows HDR and Antialiasing at the same time unlike the 7950. And one 8800GTX is still faster (and more power efficient) than two 7950 GTs.

Well if at all possible wait a couple of months because both ATI and nVidia are releasing a ton of new cards, which means prices on these cards you are looking at will go down, or you could get a better card for the same price. But between the two go with 8800GTX, it is more powerful and supports DirectX 10. Also, Vista supports almost every game I am aware of, and most of the people bashing it are doing so because they are not smart enough to use it.

If your building a NEW computer then why use OLD hardware. Get the 8800GTX. It has support for DX10 which will be used for all the future Vista Games.

Geforce 880 is better,the speed of processing of 8800 is 2x in front of 7950 also u better know that 8800 is too much storng i have a reason for it that programmer still couldn't use from all of the power of this graphic,8800 is the only GPU in the world that support Directx 10,open GL 2.0.shader model 4.0,also using Quantum Effects for example in showing fires is master
it doseon't use your cpu for proccesing,also using blue ray technlogy and u better now next meida generation is blue ray!!!
that 7950 doesn'tt support them
for next games generation 880 is the best choice
