The main problem is that "real world" problems are usually brushed aside as "this can't happen to my child in a private school"
The reality is that drugs and sex is worse in these environments just becasue of that lack of recognition.
Best is to stay in a public school where all such issues are addresses instead of "protecting" the children from the evils of life.
Us parents TEACH our kids to cross busy streets instead of protecting them. We should do the same with the sensitive issues of life that can have worse effects.

Peronsally, I see private schools as the same as public schools with costlier drugs and mistakes. I feel that private schools are overrated, they are more of a social status. Watch the news, kids who go to private school are no less likely to get into trouble than their public school counter parts. Drugs still run through, only instead of pot, its typically cocaine. There are actually less guidlines for educations since private school teachers do not have to be certified.

Private schools are far better than public schools.
Public Schools have become a socialist monopoly...the least efficient of all state and local departments.

I don't think that private school is such a good thing, but not because these people want to show off their money, but because these student's will get out into the real world they won't know what hit them because they will be so stuck up and not know how to do anything like soccer, football, baseball, hockey, and ect. they need a chance to be themselves, let them have friends, let them be who they are or want to be but if you did you just have to know when it's ok and when it's not ok to be yourself i mean if your at home then yes you can be yourself but if your at a public place then try to at least dress for the occasion and have decent manners and after all that i think that private schools should just relax and let them just be themselves

you don't get a dose of the "real world" at a private school. Especially at a religious school, it is way too overprotective!!
