For a shorty 5 foot 4, anything over 145 is overweight
For 5 foot 8 for example, I think that over 165 is overweight.
For 6 foot, it would be like 185 would be overweight

It depends on your height and muscle tone.
Usually they say a woman at 5FT should weigh about 100 -120 pounds.
For each inch add 5 pounds.
so a woman who is 5' 8" should weigh about 140-160 pounds without being considered overweight.
Now there's a lot to take into consideration though, again like muscle tone.
One person who is 5'8" and weighs 140 and has good muscle tone will look thinner than a person who is 5'8" 140lbs with poor muscle tone.
ADDED: person who said '120 for female' um.. I am 5'10" id I weighed in at 120 I would be sick sick sick.
It depends a lot on height.

Depends on age, A woman shouldn't exceed to much over 120 and a man over 160 I guess. Then again it depends on height too. If the guy is over 6 ft. he should be around 200 pounds.

170 for a woman of average height, 230 for a man of average height. Thats my opinion anyways. I depends, theres a guy on tv that does a fitness show and he is really muscular but by BMI he is considered overweight and hes not even close.
For the person below me, it is big but i would consider this where it starts to get out of control.
For the person above me, 120 is what you consider overweight? Are you kidding me? Thats a perfect weight, 145 is where you start to see fat on someones body.

I'd usually consider someone overweight based on BMI index above the healthy average.

If a person walks and their legs rub together....eeewww.
Or their gut sticks out.
Or their butt hangs down..or sticks out on the sides.
Like 5 ft 2 and weigh 150...I think that would be fat.
