She is in her 8th month, and it's her Birthday, I was looking for some gift suggestions that would make her feel happy and encouraged to complete her 9th month with patience.

Maybe a sweet book on the first years fo parenting, a baby book? have you started one yet? if not get a really nice one and start to fill it with ultrasound photos, maybe "belly pics" of her. have you started the babyroom? she is mostlikely into her "nesting" stage by now. if you got a few things for the baby's room and spent some quality time together setting up the room, also keep in mind that its the little things that you do that makes her know how much you love her, remember to tell her no matter what how beautiful she is. not only is this her special day but you both are 1 month away from having a piece of the both of you. that is telf is the best gift of all.
good luck!!!! and congrats!

Well, like alot of the others, I will also suggest a massage HOWEVER I didn't feel very comfortable at a salon.
I am much more comfortable with my hubby doin the massaging! At the salon, I felt like I had to engage in conversation with the lady massaging me (much like when I get my hair done), so I didn't get to really relax. I have a 9mth old sitting on my lap as I type, and I can still remember how uncomfortable I was just before she came.
Try to make her whole day as STRESS-FREE as possible, have dinner ready (ordered in or home made) - try for her favourite!; then run her a bath, maybe help her wash her hair (if she's the type comfortable with that), and then take her to the bedroom and give her a very relaxing rub down. A nice body lotion would help. Just make sure you are gentle and eager. I can't stand it when my hubby gives me a massage just because I asked and he really doesn't want to, because I can feel it and it doesn't help me relax! Good Luck!!! Sue

What about a pregnancy massage (make sure the spa has the special table with opening for her belly) followed by a romantic dinner.

Pampering should definitely be a big theme though. Those last few months are so uncomfortable. You want her to feel special, relaxed, and like its all about her on her bday.

I agree with everyone else!! A day at the spa that gives pregnancy messages. You need to ask the spa about the pregnancy message because lots of them have special tables for pregnant women. You wife is lucky to have such a thought-full husband!! Good job!!

Pamper her. To me, that would be a relaxing dinner out (not fast food) and a movie. To some, maybe a gift certificate for a beauty salon or massage. To others, a gift certificate for a new outfit for after the baby is born.

Speaking of after the baby is born. Think now about how to help out and pamper her AFTER the baby is born. It will do a lot for your sex life AFTER the baby is born too. She won't be so tired and will get those loving feelings. Many blessings.

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about, jokes throughout her pregnancy, cravings, etc.,. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it - ultra sound, pics of her belly, etc.!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Buy her a gift certificate to the spa or someplace she can get pampered.......you know to get her feet massaged, her body massaged, get a manicure, pedicure, her hair done, a facial. There are places to where they use creams that are harmless to baby. This will leave her feeling refreshed and will boost her confidence!!!

Aww! Well why not take her out to buy her something for her and the baby? Like a big comfy cozy chair for the nursery for her to nurse, hold, sing the baby to sleep? Or like most people said, I'm sure a massage would work too.... a nice romantic dinner.... hm... thats all I can think of. Have fun and congrats on the baby

Manicure/Pedicure is always nice. Jewelery-- if you konw if its a boy or girl maybe a colored stone in pink or blue (like a saphire pendant.)

My hubby got me a great little locket for christmas with a picture of a woman cradling a baby on the outside. Totally sweet!
