If there was ID or some way I could identify who's wallet it was, I'd definitely return it. If there wasn't, I'd probably go to the police. I believe if it isn't claimed within a certain period of time, I would be able to keep it.

Yes if I found someones wallet I'd return it as long as there was a name in it.
or try to find out who lost it first before thinking of keeping it.
you never know that may have been someones rent money .

I would return it (with the cash) to the rightful owner. What goes around comes around. I would like to think someone would do the same if it were my wallet.

This happened to my hubby about a year ago. he had about $600 in his wallet and it fell on the parking garage floor. WE were fairly sure who found it and she never returned it. That money for half of our rent!!!

Kids photos and all hubby's ID was in it. She never looked at us again, she was a shopaholic and well we treated her well to shopping!

If I found it,I would return it if it was possible.

I'd definitely return it. I'm painfully honest. I've found purses at the restaurant and had to dig through them to find a name and address so I could use the directory to tell them I found a purse. But I never ever looked through any other belongings, I only looked for a drivers license.

Take $50 and mail it back to them. The next person will take it all and toss the wallet in a dumpster!

I'd return the money. It could be someone's rent or maybe their kid needs an operation or something. It's not mine to keep.

I'd look at the ID in the wallet and look for them.
