The Blue Jays, a threat to the Yankees? With WHAT? Their breath? The Jays don't have the pitching. Just an injury-prone Roy Halladay. You wanna bank on THAT? They'll be lucky to finish ahead of the Devil Rays this year. (Don't laugh: The Rays aren't contending for the Playoffs, but they're much improved. The Jays are not.)

I don't see them as a major threat to the Yankees (unless the Yanks' pitching completely disintegrates), but the Blue Jays should win 85-90 games this season.

Yes the Blue Jays are,NOT the Red Sox.We saw Schilling yesterday, just as I said would happen,he's getting older not as good anymore. The Blue Jays will not pass the Yankees but they will finish in 2nd.Halladay,Burnett,Wells a very good and underrated team. The Jays will win about 90 games the Red Sox 85 the Yankees around 95.So all in all the Jays a little but of a threat to the Yankees but they should be able to hold them off.Expect a 10th straight AL East crown.

To the people above me-Do you know who finished in 2nd place in the East last year? Not the Sox.

The biggest threat to the Yankees IS the Yankees. Every one else will be doing nothing more than taking advantage of Cashman's numerous mistakes.

Maybe they can steal enough wins from the Yankees to get Boston to the playoffs. The Yankees have a lot bigger problems than the Blue Jays.

The biggest threat to the yankees are the yankees and the people of (excuse me while I vomit) New York.

It will be fun to watch but I have faith in the Yankees and Joe Torre as a manager who always finds a way to win that division through good and bad times.
