We use the Gerber Comfort bottles.
But if you're going to pump, my sis-in-law uses the Avent pump and loves it, so you'd use the Avent bottles with it.
I second the recommendation made by someone else to only buy the larger capacity bottles. If you buy the 4-5oz bottles, you just end up replacing them in a few months. The larger ones come with the medium flow nipples, but you can buy separate slow flow nipples for the first few months for a lot less money than bottles.

I used Avent bottles because everything I'd read stated they were highly compatible with breastfeeding.
They have the traditional bottles, and then the ones with the disposable inserts (like Playtex nursers). I preferred the ones with the inserts, because the collapsible bags seemed to really cut down on the amount of air swallowed.

If you end up using both nursing and bottles, try Dr. Brown's bottles. They were recommended to me by a lactation consultant. She said that they were the closest thing to breastfeeding. The baby has to "work" for the food with these bottles. I did both until my daughter was about six months old, after that, she didn't want to nurse anymore.

I didn't have a specific bottle. I just prefer to use the ones without the bags...And I changed the nipples...I used the ones that are made by Nuk? The nipple is shaped like a binki...My son loved that kind.

Seriously, the cheapest ones you can find. I had these fancy pants ones that did all this stuff with airflow and who knows what, and my boy hated them. The three-for-a-dollar ones from WalMart - loved them.
I did end up having to get the Nuk nipples, though. They are a little less pointy and weird and he was more comfortable with them. They are more expensive than regular ones, but fit just about any bottle.

Advent.
And buy the 9-oz bottles. You can always put 4 ozs in an 9 oz bottle but you can't put 8 oz in a 4 oz bottle.

I use ventair standard bottles.
I tried the cheaper ones, but my baby was spitting up a lot. The ventair have a vent at the bottom (that doesn't leak somehow) to keep air from getting in your baby's tummy. That keeps her from getting a stomach ache, or being really spitty.
