would you build it with an AMD Athlon 64 3400+ 2.2ghz cpu, or a P4 520 2.8ghz cpu. These choices will also be included with 2-1gig strips of ddr400mhz mem., a 6800GT PCIe 256mb ddr3 graphics card,and 2-74gb Raptors . This is somewhat a follow up question from my original post... thx

I would go with the AMD 64. I like them better and they have a history of being a gaming processor. I would increase the video card to 512 because that means almost as much as the processor.

Definitely get the athlon 64. P4's suck and they run soo hot! The athlons are great overclockers as well.

Hi. I agree with your first answer, but remember that the most impact, besides RAM, is the best GPU you can afford. Also I'm a big fan of AMD.

i would personaly go with the p4. but my dreem coputer is as follows. i built halph of it and it was awsome.
2 pentium xeon processors.
6 gig of memory
1 terrabit of hardrive space. (consisted of 4 hardrives.)
512 vidio card.
dvd burner
blue ray burnerr
soundblaster live card.
thats the basics. i forgot what else was in it.

Make sure the Raptors are 10,000 rpm, they work well.
Highest end Graphics card as possible, and As much memory as possible
