OK please read my earlier question also titled Urgent HELP HELP HELP
My betta is doing better right now, he is swimming and reacting to activities in and around his tank. He even recognised my hand and swam up and ate a lil. He is resting on n off.
I wanted to ask if it is OK to add aquarium salt right now because I have never used it for the 1 month that I have had him. Is it OK to use it now? At this time I don't want to take any risks.
Thanks to everyone who answered and the new people who are going to answer.

Don't worry about the salt. Stop messing with the tank, that is probably stressing him.

(Don't know if your Betta was sick before). Why are you trying to add additional stuff (more so, something you have not try before) to your aquarium?

Betta should be able to ok to some pinch of salt added to it aquarium, but not so sure about the rest of your fishes in that aquarium.

p/s you must have been doing a great job to condition your aquarium as can be seen from your betta's response. Keep It up! Cheers.

Aquarium salt is always a plus because it lets the fish breath better. I would highly suggest it, expecially if you have been having health issues.

A small pinch of salt wouldn't hurt anything, but disolve it in water first then give your fish a little time to settle in and get over the shock of earlier today. Glad to hear he's doing better!

it should be ok, all the aquarium salt does is help balance his electrolites so it would probably be a good idea.
