I believe that the internet is quite a ballance of good and bad, its all what you intend to use it for. The internet is the greatest resource in the world. At the same time it can be used for extremly perverse and wrong reasons, its all what the user intends. But, you asked for my opinion and I would say that it is much more helpful than harmfull.

I dont go with More Harmful than Helpful. It is in fact the other way round. Harmful is only when we misuse it deliberately. We can definitely overcome the negative things but if there is no internet, many of the positive and helpful deeds wud come at a halt.

The internet is excitingly useful, very very useful, and a very very great benefit. The main harm is that it is so useful that so many folks rush into it without remembering (or being warned) that they should be very careful about revealing personal information. Identity theft is a heavy-duty problem on the internet. It may lead to credit-ruination, privacy invasion, and other sorts of hassle and intrusion into one's private life. One should remember that one shouldn't post a thing on the internet that one wouldn't want posted on a public billboard.
