IT is explaining the feeling one feels from being addicted to cocaine. Clapton started a drug rehab after fighting his own addictions. He wanted the world to understand why people do drugs and fall victim to them.

Bradleys answer made sense, but anyway i thought JJ Cale wrote the song originally, not Clapton , so the meaning may not be there.

It means that "she don't like cocaine". I don't think there is a hidden massage here. He probably has done his fair share, and has also had his fair share of women who didn't like him doin' it.
