World of Warcraft: How does the "bonus healing" stat affect how I heal?

I have a lvl 54 pally with Holly build. How does the "healing done by spells and effects" (or Bonus Healing) affect the amount I heal?

For Example: Bonus Healing:52 at lvl 54. What does that mean?

You would heal an additional 52 hit points w/ every healing spell. Bonus healing = amount of additional hit points added to each healing cast.

This means you get that much extra HP in each healing spell you cast. For instance, with healing 52, if you heal a character, and it would normally cure them for a 100, they'd heal 152 instead.
