Hi,
yes I sadly feel this a lot, infact i cried myself to sleep the other nite by crying hesterically to the point of nearly being sick....just for this reason. I have battled with depression and an eating disorder for a long time and nearly always without a great deal of support and I continue to do so..it can be so hard at times and i feel very alone with my pain and so it hurts a lot at times.

Alone, but not too lonely. As the world works its way closer and closer to insanity, and people succumb to the powers that be, like sheep, yes, it's good to feel alone and separate from the crowd.

It's amazing how similar are the ideas and talk of most people, as though all they know and can know is what they hear from the media. Sometimes it is just better to be alone.

Yes; I think in the last analysis we are all essentially alone. No one, no matter how much they love you, can really understand how you feel about things. We are all born alone, and we die alone...there are things we just have to go through on our own, and they tend to be the biggest things in life.
Also when I am really in need of a friend is usually when it just so happens that everyone's away or busy or doesn't have time to talk...after awhile you learn to deal with it. Hurts, though.

I've felt this way for a long, long time. Ever since I was really young, I've always felt isolated and alone. I have this problem in which people just flat out do not get me. I don't know if I'm crazy, or if I'm just f***ed up or what, but I know how you feel. There really isn't a whole lot you can do other than reach out and start making things happen. I really don't know what to tell you.

The feeling of being alone in a crowd? Yes, for most of my life. Today is a good example. My GF tries to snap me out of it, but it doesn't always work.

funny that you say this.i usually feel very lonely in the crowds of people, they just seem to be rushing and running around.that`s when i feel loneliest...but at the same time, it`s good to escape sometimes, from it all and solitude can be great.the older i get, more solitude i prefer though i love having people around (my friends etc...).i guess everybody feels as you say from time to time.as Leonard Cohen sings..."lets be alone together..."

Before I knew God, yes. He says in the Bible "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." I am not alone anymore.
