to keep more people alive, longer. Should we be more willing to let nature runs it's course. Between longterm care and mental hospitals, people that suck up billions in resources and return nothing just linger and linger.

somebody has to do something with all those people, what with conservatives up in arms about abortion. people will keep getting it on and more of us will keep coming out. and most of them will be as dumb and discompassionate as you. but you will get your chance to be warehoused, old, "worthless, " and borderline retarded.
i suppose we could just kill inmates too, randomly, and the gays, and everyone else that i presume you would deem unusable.

Prolonging life in hopeless situations is indeed expensive and often cruel, to me at least. On the other hand, it's not easy being the one who turns off the switch and shuts the valve to the oxygen supply.

Your concept of NHS is flawed. It would provide all citizens with a certain standard of care, a standard that many cannot now afford. Hopefully wealthier persons could opt into a private system.

It's better spending the billions on national health and alternative energy than in Iraq.

I think we both know that as decent humans we will try to give help to keep people alive and even sometimes beyond a point that is reasonable. I think this is because we see it as being good and compassionate when in fact it may actually create more suffering but it is in most peoples nature to try and help. With that being said if the NHS is in fact put into place and run by our government the death rate will grow due to inefficient operation and lack of funds. Our government cannot even agree on how to pay for things we already have in trusted them with and health care is way out of their area of expertise.

If there are too many people, why are many republicans pro-life and against sex education and free universally available birth control? And just what do you suggest we do with those people? put them on the street or euthanize them? All people must be treated as equally important or the inequalities that are inevitable in any society will get so out of control it will inevitably rip itself apart. Every single persons life is importent and worthy of care and resources.
