So what is World of Warcraft like since the expansion?

I quit playing wow right before the expansion came out. I hated the way you had to either be in a hardcore raiding guild or pvp for 10 hours a day to stay competative at the end game. Has the game changed much since the expansion? Or is it basically the same thing with everyone level 70 instead of level 60? I'm not sorry I quit because I've been exercising more and getting in shape, but I'm curious what the game is like nowadays.

I don't think anything has really changed at the top. A lot has been added to keep you busy once you get up there, but you won't be able to get up there and PvP competively without some hard work.
